Holy Family University Appoints Rochelle Robbins, Ph.D. Vice President for Academic Affairs

Holy Family University is pleased to announce the appointment of Rochelle Robbins, Ph.D., as vice president for Academic Affairs. Dr. Robbins previously held this role on an interim basis from August 2021 through May 2022.

Dr. Robbins began teaching in the Counseling Psychology Master’s Program at Holy Family University in 2003 and taught undergraduate courses since 2001. She attained the rank of professor in 2011, the same year she began serving as the Division Head for Math and Science. She became associate dean in 2012 and in 2013 was named dean of the School of Arts & Sciences.

Her scholarship includes research on improving the quality of life for older adults with Alzheimer's and the treatment and diagnosis of eating disorders in older adulthood. More recently, Dr. Robbins has focused on assessment and higher education leadership as she transitioned her role from faculty to staff. She has presented at assessment conferences and higher education leadership conferences. Dr. Robbins played an instrumental role in obtaining the Title III grant which funds the Center for Teaching & Learning. This summer, Dr. Robbins will attend a roundtable conference on mental health and higher education at Oxford University.

Dr. Robbins has led or helped facilitate 16 study abroad tours to four continents, taking students to Istanbul, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Morocco, and multiple European countries since 2007. She has served in an advisory capacity to EF College Study Tours since 2016.

She earned her B.A. in Psychology from The University of Maryland and earned both her M.S. and her Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
